{Meet the Dress}

Louise Nichol, editor-in-chief of Harper’s BAZAAR Arabia, is a quintessentially fashionable woman, so when she and Andrew tied the knot on a beautiful summer day in 2010 (in fact, it wasn’t just 1 day, but 3 days of celebration). We all waited breathlessly to see “The Dress(es)”, and we certainly were not disappointed! Louise opted for 3 gorgeous gowns by 3 of our favorite designers. That’s one very lucky bride!

Louise shares with us her gorgeous gowns, and tells us why they were the “ones.”

“I had a Monique Lhuillier from Frost for the traditional church service, followed by a family-only reception at my parents’ house. It was a very classic design that I knew my mother would love.

 The day before our ‘second’ wedding, I wore a McQueen dress for a champagne cream tea with friends and family. We all ended up at the local Indian restaurant at the end of the night, me still in white chiffon McQueen!

For our blessing and the main reception, I wore a Carolina Herrera from Frost, with a detachable skirt (so I could show off my crystal Louboutins for the first dance!). This was my dream dress, but a little too ‘fashion’ for the very traditional church service.

At present all 3 dresses are laid out on the floor in my parents’ attic in Sussex, while my mother works up the courage to entrust them to a dry cleaner!”

Long Live Love,

The Carousel Girls ♡
